3DVisA Index of 3D Projects: Archaeology
Portus, Rome
The project produced a virtual reality model of Portus, the port of Imperial Rome.
The project was carried out by the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton and funded by the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council grant under the Research Dissemination Scheme. It was also assisted by the Soprintendenza di Beni Archeologici di Ostia and the British School at Rome; as well as
the Duke Sforza Cesarini on whose estate the Portus site is located.

Resource status: A demonstration of the models is available on the project's website.
